After years of playing the iconic clubs of Boston, singer/songwriter Chris Emerson recorded a song called, All Because of You, which won in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. This caught the attention of Sony Pictures, who picked it up for the smash hit TV series, Dawson’s Creek. He was signed with Empire/BMG in NYC, where he recorded his self-titled debut. He hit the road on a year long national media tour, promoting the single visiting more than 300 radio and TV stations, which spun 3 Top 30 Billboard hit singles!

A tour followed opening for Hootie & the Blowfish, Blues Traveler, Sugar Ray, Sean Colvin and the legendary Ray Charles! After touring, Emerson went down to Nashville, where he recorded the indie release, Shadow Of You, with some of Nashville’s top Row Aces, recording songs penned by top industry writers like Dianne Warren, and Jeffery Steele.

Now back in Boston, his newest musical journey is a Pop/House project called Montasia, produced by club sensation, DJ Tony Romanello, of Montreal for the newly formed House label, Switching Records. Good things are happening here. Soul is in the house!
